Password Help

Here's a frusterating little tale.  I purchased the Windows x64 installation disk and built my own computer- now the installation went fine, but when the computer restarted I was prompted for a password to login.  I contacted Microsoft about the issue and the representative informed me that he couldn't help me "crack" the password as this was against their policies.  He suggested I reinstall the software, however when I did the exact same issue resulted.  I've purused the web and concluded that few if anyone, has had a similar problem.  Any suggestions?  Right now it appears I have $135.00 worth of worthless software.  (sigh)  Any assitance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Have you tried just hitting enter, there may have been a blank password saved.

You could also try deleting the partition on the install options and then doing a full clena install (WARNING: that will delete all your data)

Actually I gave up.  Someone suggested that I had the password set to on in the system bios- double checked that and still had the same issue.  I toyed around with it for about three days before biting the bullet and purchasing a full retail version of Windows Home Edition.  Still am puzzled though.

Yeah, and I tried just hitting enter- each time I ran a clean install, to no avail.
