Installing x64 on Dell XPS 600

I need to install x64 on two computers at work that are Dell XPS 600's.  Their stats are:

    CPU: Intel Pentium D 3.0
    RAM: 2GB (4 x 512MB)
GFX: Two nVidia 7800GTX's in SLI
HDs: Two Samsung 160GB Drives in RAID (Using nVidia MediaShield for managing the RAID)
    SOUND: Creative X-Fi

Anyway, I have the RAID set up properly in the MediaShield manager that comes up right before a boot CD would be run.  Yet when the x64 CD boots into its install, it recognizes no HDs.  I even installing without a RAID making sure I disabled it in the BIOS and in the MediaShield installer and the same problem happened.  I try to press F6 to load a 3rd-party RAID driver, but it is like the F6 key doesn't work or something.  Yet when it says press F2 for recovery immediately after that, F2 works every single time.

If it matters, I am using some random PS/2 Dell keyboard rather than the wireless one that came with it for simplicity and ironicly it seems that it isn't helping any.

Any remote help anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

    GOD BLESS DELL!!

When you hit F6 it loads everything else THEN lets to load your drivers ... so just wait till its done and you will see.

You will know what to do from there.

Ah.  I must have just been too frustrated with it by then to be patient.

    Thanks for the help.

Oh.  I got that before but didn't recognize it when I saw it.  Is there any way to load the drivers from a CD instead of a floppy?

Nevermind.  Just hunted down a floppy drive and busted the case open instead.  Thanks anyway.

Re: Installing x64 on Dell XPS 600

HEY  DUDE<><><>  I Have a DELL XPS 600 and I put X64 XP in it and I put it in by PRESSING F12_at the Beginning Window__Where it says Press F2 for Setup and Press F12 for CD to Be Reconized.  When You Press F12 a little window will come up in like the DOS MODE and their will be 6 different things you can do and pick the Boot from CD or DVD but it will say Boot from CD ! !    ANYWAY the F12 Worked Good but the Only Hassel was that I could NOT Get Online cause I did NOT have the 64 Bit Drivers for the Ethernet Card.

The Next Time I try that I am going to have all of the X64 XP Drivers on a Disk or a Floppy to put in after I get the Computer setup in the 64Bit Mode ! ! !

Hope You Get it All Figured Out __and Hey You Said You Had a ASUS Motherboard___I have an NVIDIA MOBO in My XPS 600 along with the Two 7800GTX NVIDIA Video Cards with 2gigs of Ram and the XFi Sound Blaster Sound Card ! ! !   WHY Don't You Havethe Same Motherboard???     REMEMBER PRESS F12

                                                                                                                                                                                   OK  PEACE      WILLY
