    Catalyst 6.3

    Hi

I have installed XP Pro 64 and wanted to install Catalyst 6.3 for XP 64. The driver can not be loaded. The same for the x64 drivers for the motherboard (Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe) and for the Audigy 2 ZS. So, XP 64 is not really a good choice in my eyes. Where could be the problem for this?

    Thx and regards

    Zander

    Re: Catalyst 6.3

I am running Catalyst 6.3 right now with no problems on a DFI Lanparty NF3-250 board with an ATi x850pro card. Make sure you have .net 1.1 installed (not 2.0, 1.1 must be on the system) and it should install and work fine.

I am also running an x-fi platinum with no problems on the X64 drivers. I was running an Audigy 2 before that on X64 with no problem as well.

Can you be more descriptive of your problem with installing these?

    Re: Catalyst 6.3

Yes, sure, i will try my best with my poor english knowledge...

I would like to install a HIS X1900 XT. First, I have installed .NET Framework 1.1 and then the catalyst 6.3. There was no failure so far. But in the device manager, the graphic card has a yellow (!). Even when I have deinstalled the graphic card in the device manager and rebooted the pc, windows says, there was a problem installing a device (graphic card).

To the audigy 2. I forgot to tell you, that I have an audigy 2 ZS Video Editor. And so far as you could see, there is no x64 driver for this device (a point, I do not understand). So, for me it would be probably the best to deinstall XP 64 and install the normal XP...

    Re: Catalyst 6.3

The video card is probably just missing the WDM Integrated Driver. Its available on the same page you got the display driver and control center from.

As far as Creative goes, it took them an entire year to make some X64 drivers available for their other products so who knows when they will get you an X64 driver for your ZS ve. :(

    Re: Catalyst 6.3

The WDM integrated driver has been installed, too. I have done the installation exactly the same way i have made it in windows XP x32, a lot of times.

For my printer (HP 5652 Deskjet) there is no x64 driver available, too. So, XP x64 is not an option for me right now.

    Thanks for the help anyway!
