Decent x64 backup program...

I used to use Norton Ghost ver 9 in x32 windows, this doesn't work under x64 so does anyone know of a decent backup program with similar features that work under x64?

Acronis True Image 9.0 is good.

But is it x64 compatible? I have tried installing it and it doesn't......

Just been informed by Acronis that version 9 does not support x64 OS as yet.....

I use Ghost 2003 with the DOS based client for doing backups, and it works fine with Vista images.  Ghost 2003 was included in the box of Norton Ghost 9.0.

Ok, just so you guys know, have just found and used this little prog that seems to work ok.

Have just tested it out using a winpe bootcd and it worked fine to restore my system.

I don't know what features you are referring that Ghost has unless it to make a disc image.

I use Retrospect 7. I do not make images just do fresh installs.

Seems to have the basic features as Norton Ghost, plus it claims:
"Works with Win64 (x64) (AMD64/EM64T) but not with IA64 or GPTs."

I have no experience with the above, as I have not yet (but will soon) migrate my AMD64 notebook from Windows XP Pro to x64.  I've used Norton Ghost for years; I use v9 right now and love it, and I was sweating about what to do when I switch to x64.  Since this is the only one I could find so far that explicitly states x64 compatibly, I'll likely go this route.

like yourself I am a big fan of Ghost, the program I found in the link I posted above is very good AND free!!!! And I can vouch for how well it works bacause I bit the bullet and tested it. Restored my 50GB boot drive in under ten mins!!!!!

I was talking to Acronis tech support and they confirmed that True Image 9.0 does not support x64. They'll either release a x64 patch for TI 9.0 or they'll release a special x64 version - no date has been set.

Anyway, for now the work around that they recommended is as follows:
"You can obtain Acronis True Image basic functionality of imaging and restoring by temporarily installing Acronis True Image onto a Windows 32-bit machine and creating an Acronis True Image Bootable CD. You can then uninstall Acronis True Image. As the Acronis True Image Bootable CD boots you into the Linux environment you can use it to back up and restore your 64-bit OS."

Acronis just released True Image 9.1 versions of their corporate products (server, workstation) which includes x64 support.

According to an Acronis rep in thier support forum, an updater is coming very very soon for the "Home" edition of TI which will use the same engine, and presumably support x64 as well. Confusingly, that update won't bump the home version to version 9.1 apparently, but will be a updater for 9.0, and a free update if you already have a copy of TI 9.0

Brownbay, I've recently downloaded new upgrade for my True Image 9.0 home edition. Now it supports x64! Everything works like a dream! Highly recommend!

I was having some issues with my XP prp x64 Edition.

The first massive crash ocurr by trying to install Alcohol120%; was a very bad idea.

The second strange things happened to me lately, it appears that my system doesn't like to be customized with tune up utilities, specifically the winlogon. Considering this events, i REALLY want a backup utility. 

For all the posts, it seems Acronis True image is the one. I have question:

 

i have one HDD, with two partitions. One for the system, other just for files.

With the program, could i restore the system partition only, without affecting the other one ??
