    Re: Your x64 Computer

My machine is as in my signature.....

I am now running Vista Beta 2 X64 bit version as my only operating system. (after making a ghost backup of my Xp Home/Xp pro X64 bit daul boot system) I was running all three Os's together but decided to bite the bullet and see if I could "survive" with just Vista......

The only problems I have encountered so far are....

    1) Creative labs not producing drivers for the 1st Public build of vista (their sound card drivers don't work under x64 bit vista but strangely the drivers for my webcam which are for Win pro X64 work fine)

    2) Hp's Xp pro X64 printer drivers work if you don't use their installer, it doesn't recognise the Os and cancells the install....

    3) Belkin Nostromo x64 drivers don't work.....

    4) Having to use open sourced cd/dvd burning software. Roxio 8 disables my drives!?

    5) A few of my games fail to run even in XP compatability mode.....

As you can see these issues are not a fault of Vista, which I am very pleased with. I can say now that when it comes out I will be one of the first in the queue to give Uncky Billy my money!! :O)

*Edited, have now got ALL my hardware working once I turned off driver enforcement*
