Hard drive not found on Dell

My system is a Dell bought with XP SP2. When I boot from an x64 CD, setup loads all the necessary files. then I press 'enter' for installation to begin. The next screen shows that Windows doesn't find the hard disk and tells me to check hardware config if it is already connected.

My hard drive is Western Digital Caviar se 250GB SATA. I thought it's the problem  with the drivers, so I tried to hunt the net. It's may be on the WD website but I couldn't find any 64 bit drivers. Please help. And if it needs drivers, then please give the link. I can't do more with dual core without x64!

With SATA HDDs, you need to install a driver during XP install, to do this, you MUST have the SATA drivers for your motherboard's chipset on a floppy disk. When you boot the XP disc, you'll notice text at the bottom of the screen telling you to press F6 to install RAID drivers (this is just after setup begins), after pressing, install will continue a bit then eventually ask you to press Enter to continue or S to install the drivers, press S, you'll be asked for the disk, insert it and hit Enter. Select the appropriate driver then hit Enter. Now after disk activity you'll be back at the Enter/S screen, just press Enter to continue as normal.
