On Wednesday, July 5, 2006, I will be boarding a plane to Dallas, Texas – home of the best software solutions company in the world – Telligent Systems, Inc. Over the next two months, I’ll be learning the ins and outs of a software company from the industry’s best employees.
This dream first started a few years ago, when I adapted the “ASP.NET Forums” for use on Bink.nu. Over the years, the product, has gone through a few names: from the ASP.NET Forums to Community Server :: Forums, to just CommunityServer, and Telligent’s excellent work has transformed the software into a world class Blog / Photo Gallery / Discussion Board platform. Telligent’s CEO, Rob Howard, is even a contributor in one of the ASP.NET books that I own. I can’t wait to meet him, and hopefully get that book signed.
What does this mean for Extended64.com and Bink.nu? Interning at Telligent is going to take me to the “next level,” which will allow me to take Extended64 and Bink.nu to the next level, too!
I’d like to thank everyone at Telligent that has been working hard to make my internship happen. The people I’d like to mention are (in alphabetical order!): Jason Alexander, Terry Denham, Scott Dockendorf, Rob Howard, and Delia Johnson (note to self: we need to get Delia blogging!).
