I've seen a few people get confused about having an "AMD64" machine. Basically, the "x64" architecture is rightfully called "AMD64" under the hood in Windows (AMD did invent it).
So, if you have an Intel or AMD processor which runs under Windows x64, you have an "AMD64" processor (which is more commonly called "x64").
Intel Itanium (or IA64) is a completely different thing (which is not an x64 processor). It has nothing to do with the new Intel Pentium EMT64 and Xeon EMT64 chips. Odds are, you don't have an Itanium ("IA64") procoessor, as they are much more expensive then an x64 processor.
